Instructions for your Auction Template Thank you for purchasing an auction template from me. Here are the step by step instructions so you'll be able to learn how to use your templates. First of all, click on the "Sell" tab in the upper right corner of your eBay summery. Then you'll see something like the screenshot below. When you sell an item on eBay, you get to choose an easy way for you to list your auction or a customizable way. For purchased auction templates you have to click on the "Customize you listing" button as shown below. Then click on "Start Selling". After that, the next step is that you will have to select the category your item falls under. When you're done, click on "Continue". |

The next step is listing your item where you have to fill out all the needed information like title, shipping and a listing image of your item. Then you'll come down to a section that looks something like the screenshot below. At the top of the box you should see two tabs, Standard and HTML. It will most likely be on "Standard". But it has to be on "HTML" so make sure to click on that tab. |

Now that you have it on the "HTML" tab, you are ready to insert your template. Open up the WordPad/notepad document I sent you. Copy the entire text and paste it into the "HTML" box as shown below. Make sure you leave it on the html tab. Now it's time for inserting your images which you'll have to do in the "HTML" box/section. |

For inserting your images, you will have to put your images online. You can not put them in the template right from the computer or memory stick. You should make sure that they are properly resized before you put them online. You can do this in paint or some other image editor that comes with your computer. If you don't have a place to put your images online, I suggest photobucket.com They are free, very reliable and it's easy to set up an account. I use them myself. When you've set up your account and are logged in, you will see something like the screenshot below. Click on the "Browse" button and select an image of the item you wish to sell. When you've selected all the images you'd like to use, click on the "Upload" button. |

After a few moments, your images will appear underneath the uploader as you can see below. Now your images are online and ready to be inserted in your template. Under each image you will see four different link codes. You need to copy the second link, "Direct Link". That's the one you'll need to use for your image html code. |

When you go back to the auction you are setting up, scroll down until you will see: <!--PHOTO TAGS GO UNDER THIS LINE-->
Delete this message and insert your image tags right here.
<!--PHOTO TAGS GO ABOVE THIS LINE--> Like shown below in the screenshot. As it says, delete the message where you insert your image tags/codes. |

The Direct Link that you copied from photobucket should be inserted or pasted into this html code: <img src="Direct Link"> If you are going to insert more then one image then you should add two <br> (which means break) to the code like this: <img src="Direct Link"><br><br> img src means image source. |

Make sure there are no spaces between the quotes in the Direct Link. After you've inserted the "Direct Link" which you copied from photobucket is should look something like this: <img src="http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r434/designbythepixel/pic1.jpg"> And if you're inserting more images, add <br><br> like shown in the screenshot below. The code will become something like this if you want to insert 3 images: <img src="http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r434/designbythepixel/pic1.jpg"><br><br> <img src="http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r434/designbythepixel/pic1.jpg"><br><br> <img src="http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r434/designbythepixel/pic1.jpg"> Don't add the two <br><br> after the last image. Remember, that you do this in "HTML" part of the template. Not in the "Standard" part on eBay like shown below. If you do it in the "Standard" box, it will just show up as code. |

Then when you are finished inserting all the codes for the images you want in your listing, you can click on the "Standard" tab like shown below. Now you will be able to view your auction template and the item image(s) you've inserted in the HTML section. |

| Select each message which says to delete it and insert your item title, description, scrolling marquee, payment and shipping info one at a time. If you would like to change the font, you can do that here. There is a drop down menu right underneath the "Standard" tab where you can choose a different font. |

I hope these step by step instructions have been helpful to you. At first, listing an item with a pre-made template might seem overwhelming but after a view times, you'll be doing it in your sleep.
